Not sure if this post will appear but here goes. There seems to be a problem with posting on the board. I've checked the forum for reportingt bugs and it seems many other forums are experiencing exactly the same. Hopefully it will be fixed soon because it's quite annoying/

In the Post Editor, there are 2 "buttons" that look like a chain link. One is linked and one looks like it's broken. Once you have the url in your reply box you need to highlight the link then click the linked chain, and the link will be active.

This is a simple way to do it
You can just click on their avatar or username. When you get to their Profile page, underneath their avatar you should see a button that says 'Friend'. Click that and you will also go to the connection page. You will then be asked if you want to 'connect' with the person you have selected.
Click 'connect' and it's done
