First of all, Hannah Olanoff, Director of Sales & Marketing for Ford's Theatre wanted us to know how much they appreciate our support of the Shenandoah and they certainly hope that we'll consider coming to other theatrical events there in the future
!
In addition, she has asked, either as an FYI or a reminder, that we take a moment to understand the policy regarding photos. Equity rules state that if any photos of the show are used in any public forum, each artist in the photo and Ford's itself gets credited.
What this basically means is that if you plan to use screen caps or photos taken from any of the TV segments on the show or from any of the print reviews or PR items and then put them anywhere where the public can see them, they need to have the proper accreditation (actor, 'show' and 'Ford's Theatre'). If you don't include it, there's apparently a very real possibility that Ford's can get into trouble even though they had no hand in it.
Hannah fully understands that no one would do anything to deliberately cause grief to the theatre but without proper acknowledgements, that's precisely what can happen. There are some in the Ford's organization who are aware of some of the postings on the SBFF and other Scott related websites and they are a bit nervous!
So...please...think twice about what you post and where you post it, especially now knowing what the consequences could be. If you've already posted something that fits this category, it would be greatly appreciated if you could go bak and 'fix' it.
Thanks all for your understanding!
