As for my previous comments (and apparently I didn't mention my own April 1st concerns (here, anyway)) re SAG strikes and the like, my friend reminded me to be clearer about the concept.
So here is the clarification:

There is a possibility the actors will go on strike.

There is a date when that would happen (I don't remember - June or July)

There is a certain amount of time required to do the principal photography on a movie (and since I'm not sure what principal means, precisely, I'm just using big words, by which I actually mean - it takes a lot to make a movie, but the actual shooting takes a certain period of time)

Therefore, the studios seem to not be starting any movies after a certain date, to insure that they won't get halfway thru shooting and have to shut down production if the actors all walk out.

I, of course, don't remember what that date is.

And if this movie isn't ready to shoot now (yes I have to read both articles again) then that may not even be an issue. (It's just from a quick reading, I thought they were shooting now. But I have to go back and read again)

And of course, similarly to Joanne said - it will be nice to see Scott in something that doesn't cost me more than my laptop. :-) Plus, one article did say it was the biggest role he's had (fill in disclaimers here - in my family we note that anything can be the biggest if you throw in enough modifiers: "This is the biggest box office movie of the summer, shot for under 1 million dollars, starring blue dwarves!") And I don't remember how many modifiers Reuters used.

But I did love the picture Variety used!

So, the mood here is controlled excitement :-) (but I did love Pippa's row of dancing icons!) (and I love the fact that you can see, on yuku, all the past posts in the thread, when replying)


ETA - I meant to mention that there are people here who understand all these details too, and I didn't mean to be talking down to anyone. (I've just been hanging with the behind the scenes gang a lot more, lately, so these details pop into my head.)

really good point there! (crap - I've been recording ET and the Insider since... November I think. Scanning thru them every night is annoying, but I think they are over Donny Osmond now, so, theoretically I could stop...) Really though - they have to at least cover a premiere, right?
(I think the only thing I ever saw Damon is was Good Will Hunting, and somehow I managed to see the end before the beginning)
