STAR TREK VEGAS: CREATION ENTERTAINMENT DELIVERS THE BIG ONE!

On August 6 to 10, 2008 Creation Entertainment proudly comes to the world famous Las Vegas Hilton Hotel in a joyous celebration of the legacy of Gene Rodenberry: a gathering of like minded folks who know the future will be better, must be better for all mankind. Surely if we can't get along as humans how can we ever meet what lifeforms are definitely awaiting us somewhere out there. We meet the stars we loved on Star Trek, we talk about story lines and actual science and progress we've made as humans, we close the door on the outside world and best of all we PARTY like no other fans in the galaxy. Whether you come in a group or alone you leave as part of a loving and growing family sharing a belief that we know has made the world better. The Official STAR TREK CONVENTION just isn't the same without YOU and fa! ns are already set from scores of countries and EVERY state in The US.

Today, we are extremely proud to welcome a superstar talent who can do it all, as a headliner guest to the convention. He has long been a true favorite of Creation Entertainment, all the way back to the perfect gentleman he was during our relationship as a convention and merchandise licensee for his classic genre show QUANTUM LEAP (which we love, love loved!). For Star Trek fans he created a new dynamic character that we have been really enjoying in secondary runs: that is right: SCOTT BAKULA is back at Creation Las Vegas in only his 2nd Star Trek Convention Appearance. This is HUGE FOR US and we thank SCOTT so much from taking time from his busy schedule to be with us again.! Scott joins the fun on Sunday and as you know our guest list this year is sure to be the greatest ever for a STAR TREK convention.

hi, anyone yet knowing whether they will be going for sure to the convention? And who are the lucky ones going to both the Star Trek Con and then the Leapcon?

Just making sure -I am thinking that you gotta buy your convention tic or single day tic and then buy the tic whether you want the photo op or the autograph op?

Marcella, I just bought photo op tickets with Scott to make sure I get those since I haven't decided which ticket for the ST con to buy yet. It didn't give me any problems. And in response to your question, my daughter and I are going to both the Star Trek Con and the Leapcon next March so I guess we are among the lucky ones.

Yes, you will need to purchase either a package 'deal' for the convention or a single day ticket to use the photo op or auto op. The last I heard, the single day tix weren't going to be offered until a date closer to the con.

This is so fantastic. I nearly fainted to read the gushingly positive things they said about Scott

I can't make this, but its OK. It seemed like such a rugby scrum last time he did it, and when you have met the guy and he has signed things and let you take his photo for free it makes paying for it a little odd.
I really hope everyone who gets to go has the best time though I'd probably make the trip if I lived nearer, but I'm living in hopes of another play/musical in the not to distant future that I can fritter away my hard-earned cash on

Exactly! March '06 I was practically alone with Scott on the street outside Ford's.
The more his career takes off lately, the more I realize how blessed we've been so far.

Yeah, some people just aren't going about it right :-)

I guess it really is a good thing that they charge (but not *so* much!) for photo ops, cause that way, at least people like Marcie, who would be coming *so* far, would be sure to at least get a moment with Scott (will this be the case at the QL Con? It wasn't at the one I went to, although there had been at previous and much larger QL Cons - and there were some at my Con who hung by the door anyway. I wasn't one of them (though I would not have hated being there, I'd probably just have hung back and watched (there have been times recently when it was perectly okay to talk to Scott, but I've had to kick myself to make myself do it.)))

That's how it is at Creation now, it's sure not like the old days at Creation cons. They rush you in and out, and although Scott slows it down some (which is a credit to him and his personality, unlike the Shat who didn't even look at people the last time he signed) it's still not a venue where you can have a decent conversation with him.......not like the meetings we have with him! I agree we have certainly been extremely fortunate so far!

I have been to many a creation convention over the years, even volunteered for them at some. If you know you will be going, I advise getting your photo op tickets and your autograph tickets in advance. The general admission tickets will be released closer to the convention itself. If you buy your admission ticket now, they are only selling the higher priced ones. The general admission tickets will be cheaper (granted you will not have close up seats) but will still get you in for the sigs and pics. Then you can choose from the entire weekend or a single day ticket at a lesser expense.

Hi!!! I'm new to this forum. I will be at the Con. in Vegas. I'm a big Star Trek fan and I'm looking forward to it. I already have my Scott photo op and autograph tickets.
Anyway, I look forward to getting to know everyone and perhaps meet some new friends (fellow Scott fans) in Vegas.

I will be on my own so I am looking for friends to spend sometime at the convention and be close to scott if possible on 10th.
