SCOTT BAKULA FAN FORUM GUIDELINES
*Fans posting in this forum are required to register
*If guidelines are not respected, a moderator will issue a warning by personal message to the member, explaining what the offence is. The member may be suspended, for a length of time to be determined by the moderators, depending on the seriousness of the offense. A second offense will result in the banning of the member from the forum.
The moderators reserve the right to ban a member without warning for a serious breach of the guidelines.
*No Flaming. Be civil. No profanity, personal insults or arguments will be tolerated. You cannot ridicule other people. You may disagree with someone's opinion, but you may not attack the person themselves. Don't respond to a flame with a flame. If you have a complaint, notify a moderator rather than responding yourself.
*In regards to members posts, positive or negative comments about the subject are allowed but provoking or sniping towards that individual is not permitted. Where a member is deliberately tormenting or attacking another member or members, a total ban is in order and no warning is given.
If a member wants to voice their concern publicly about a member or situation on the board then The Back Room is available to try and resolve the problem.
*Please refrain from quoting or sharing another fan's experience, unless that person has given their consent. This also applies to copying a members post to another forum or website. A person may not appreciate having their experiences, stories or words shared third hand. This can create problems as you can be misquoted or be referred to by name.
*Account Sharing. Do not share your password with anyone. Do not allow any other member to use or share your account
*Posts regarding Scott Bakula's private life will not be accepted. Members of SBFF appreciate that Scott Bakula's private life is just that, his private life and agree to extend to him the same courtesy and respect in regard to his personal affairs he gives to us so graciously.
We at SBFF recognize that members of Scott's family are not public figures but private individuals. Therefore, we are conscientious not to impose on their privacy, their time, or their good-nature.
Posts asking for or giving personal details about Scott and/or his family will not be accepted.
When Scott is not scheduled to make a public appearance, posts asking for or giving his specific whereabouts will not be accepted.
Posts asking for or giving specific whereabouts for Scott's family will at no time be accepted.
Accidental Scott sightings sometimes happen and as long as the exact location or name of restaurant etc is not given, it's ok to post about them. There are even a few of these chance encounters in the I Met Scott Forum.
*No Trolling is allowed. This means that a member should not post or join in a discussion simply to anger other members.
* Please respect the courtesy that Scott's Publicist has always given to us. He is very considerate but has many other celebrities to take care of so please do not contact him by email. Please avoid discussing his office and co workers in detail.
* Members are asked to stay on topic, so please pay attention to the topic of your messages, and check that it still relates to the charter of the forum to which you are posting.
There are several other forums on this site, one of them specifically created for Off Topic posts.
* Off topic comments are easy to make when posting on a forum. However, if you do wander off topic, a moderator will make a polite suggestion to steer you back on topic.
I try to keep the threads completely on topic because often when they stray it can cause off topic arguing or confusion about what is being discussed.
If a member wants to change topic and discuss it at length, they are welcome to indicate in their post that they want to discuss that topic at length in Off Topic.
*If a member wants to voice their concern publicly about a member or situation on the board then The Back Room is available to try and resolve the problem.
*Personal messages to members must be sent via your private message inbox or email. The same applies if you have issues with someone. (contact that person via private message or email)
If you want to share any other grievance(s) about the Forum publicly, then again please discuss it in the Back Room and not any of the other sub forums
* Images on SBFF, should not to be uploaded to another site without permission from the member who uploaded them. This also applies to links.
Also, if permission is granted, when posting images from another site, as a courtesy, please provide the link so the original site owner can avoid costly bandwidth.
* No Spamming allowed and if posted will be deleted immediately. Please do not post the same thing continuously in a thread.
